I don’t like having to hold CR, and then having to strike CR again, to make a line-break. I need a one key command.

    • r4my

just dont hold it but strike it once and here we are, your one key command for a new line…

Just a question, as a recent paying user of Swiftkey, will flow be a free upgrade for me?

    • http://www.facebook.com/jbeats Joe Braidwood

      Yes! :)

  • Robert

I installed it right now, my native language is spanish and yes, thanks for adding the ñ letter, so easy now. Congratulations and keep it up!

When will “Flow” be available as a final release?

  • kamiller42

Does it have a numeric key row yet? Using Note 2. Plenty of space for a row of numbers.

    • AGx

What I’ve found to work very well is to turn the Long Press Time down to around 180-220ms. Long pressing on numbers is nearly instantaneous but not so much so that you’re accidentally inputting special characters all the time when typing. It’s like the perfect middle ground.

An extra row for numbers would use up too much real estate and is unnecessary. Great for tablets, sure but even still, I’d doubt that they would add it. Thats why I found another way,

      • Dan H

I have at least 3 other keyboards that have a full number row, and I have plenty of room. they have a row for arrows, if you choose to, and a number row need take no more room than that. Now if you had both arrows and number rows on, and a smaller phone then maybe. We don’t want a middle ground, we want a number row, I type far too many numbers for even your compromise, and yes I have tried it.

      • Jo Co

        Works great with this setup.

I use punctuation a lot – Is there a way to get it to appear on top after pressing space (or) after word predictions, like the stock Jellybean keyboard? I hate going through the extra step or long pressing a key to get it to appear. Only missing feature that is making me stick with the stock keyboard.

  • Terry West

Not very big on replacement apps, but this is hands down the BEST keyboard!! Great job!! Will this be released as a separate app as opposed to the original SwiftKey?

    • phillip2025

I do not think it will be released as a separate app. I believe it be imported into SwiftKey 3, a new feature and not a new app. They may, however, rename SwiftKey 3 to “SwiftKey Flow”, but it is unknown. They said it will not be a new app, but a upgrade.

Will there be an option to flow smileys in the final version? Also a better way to make words like “too”. Now i have to flow “to”, hit backspace and choose “too” just cant flow it. Maybe something like swype have (circling on the letter to make it double)

    • Nathan Cox

I’ve come across this on a couple of words that swiftkey simply does not want to work with. It’s is overly difficult to type as well, and forget about trying to flow “its”, even when it registers the t it just autocorrects to “it’s”

  • John Hillers

Is anyone else having an issue on the Nexus 7 where the backspace key makes the screen zoom and then inserts the prediction for 8 – 10 times and then goes back to normal?

  • Meike

That’s one perfect update! I went from using SwiftKey 3 to SwiftKey Flow and back to using SwiftKey 3 because flow didn’t work out for me in the first place, no predictions and stuff, but now that I’ve tried the new Flow, I am just loving it :) Keep up the great work!

  • sygyzy

QR Code for the phone download

  • http://yink.us Yinka

Thanks for the update but background memory usage is still 30-50MB. Swype’s is about 10MB

  • Aincalandorn

Any news on the Japanese language pack? Even a basic hiragana/katakana keyboard?

    • lowjoel

I’d love to have that too!

  • kenninaz

Latest version didn’t fix the jumping cursor in Samsung calculator…

  • http://twitter.com/rosembergholz Rosemberg Holz

I use SwiftKey 3 but I don’t understand why sometimes the Enter function and Smileys are changing places.

  • Angel Zuñiga

I’m really enjoying SwiftKey Flow, but the one thing that makes me want to go back to the stock keyboard on my Galaxy Note II is the number row on top of the keyboard. I find myself typing numbers a lot and it’s annoying having to long press or go to the numbers layout often. That and a customizable dictionary would be great. Sometimes SwiftKey saves my misspelled words and they come out again and that gets on my nerves. Also something that will learn your email address. I hate typing it in all the time. Keep up the good work and thanks for your products.

  • corydodt

If you guys are gonna make us manually update all the time, can you at least give us a QR code?

  • http://dikmax.name/ Maxim Dikun

I’ve got English learning app LinguaLeo. It has Audition traning with explicitly disabled prediction but SwiftKey doesn’t obey this. So traning becomes more like cheat. Two vesions before it worked fine, SwiftKey 3 works fine too.

  • Sumit

Keep the update coming …. Waiting for the final version :)

  • Joshua James

    I think this is great, there are only a couple of issues that I have though;
    - Holding back space gets rid of while words only
    - Pressing the space bar no longer automatically entered the suggestion
    Otherwise, nice job!

  • Dustin Casper

How do I delete a whole word back to correct a mistake?

  • http://twitter.com/lovebyallmeans zi mon

It should be like android 4.2.1 keyboard where you get too chose other word options directly after you swyped. This way you could spare us using the backspace all the time when SwiftKey gets a word wrong.

    • http://www.facebook.com/mike.kulick Mike Kulick

I think that would sort of defeat the brilliant word prediction built into Swiftkey, though. After you swipe you get to choose the *next* word in your sentence, rather than having to swipe, pick a word, swipe again, etc.

      • Hands Thrown Up

I think it should have both features. Why not cover everything? You have to have correction options of recent swiped words, otherwise your prediction words can’t be right. Please bring in both features, make everyone happy!

  • Sean Bullock

It would be nice if English and German weren’t combined in the same dictionary/keyboard option. I often get suggestions in the wrong language, so I’d rather take the extra two seconds to switch languages when I need to. Also as someone else suggested, the ability to pick from suggestions without having to backspace when given the wrong word, and being able to flow smileys like in swype.

  • Aycan Acarbay

In the new Turkish Layout the İ and I need to replace places, I mean the İ was supposed to be in I’s location and vice versa

  • Jared Stephens

I love this keyboard and I really want to be able to drop Swype and use SwiftKey flow as my day-to-day keyboard but you absolutely HAVE to give us the option to flow/Swype in password fields and web addresses. I use that functionality in Swype maybe 30 times a day, one handed and it’s a pain in the ass having to switch to two hands just because sk doesn’t allow this useful function.

  • Richard Wiley

No, SwiftKey Flow is not perfect, but it’s still the most brilliant innovation on the market. I have no doubt that these developers will make it perfect over time. Rome wasn’t built in a day, either. I’d like to see a personalized dictionary also, and since these guys listen to their customer, I know they’ll add one in time. Excellent work, guy, just keep doing what you’re doing.

    • jordan mattison

      Well said…

  • Javier Telles

Considero que es una buena app, sin embargo, he encontrado dos mejoras importantes: me da sugerencias en inglés y sólo tengo activado el español, también para palabras con escritura similar no muestra sugerencias, por ejemplo: pero y perro, caro y carro, etc.

  • man prost

and still no arrow keys in the tablet version or support for multiple users (and no mention of these problems in known issues, which is even worse)

  • http://twitter.com/tugman49 Pete Williams

I use a Galaxy Note 2 and I use S memo a lot as the prediction bar does not show in . memo flow cannot be used can a fix be found?

  • http://www.facebook.com/Jack.der.Zwerg Jack Zwerg

Suggestions Always Capitalized…. Can’t Stop It… Or Is There A Trick?

  • Jamie

I’m Having Issues With Words Being Capitalised When I’m Just Typing Normally. This Has Only started Happening Since Today’s Update. I’ve Left It Capitalised Here As It’s Too Much Hassle To Change It. Suffice To Say, I Change It In Normal Use Because I Don’t Want To Look like an idiot!

    • Hands Thrown Up

This problem is a jelly bean update issue along with the lack of spacing between words. I had both issues and had to download my keyboard software over again and remove auto capitalization feature from the setting. You may have to download another program altogether until this issue is fixed. I totally understand your frustration, I still can’t put any spacing in my search and address bars and it drives me nuts. Jelly Bean update completely sucks right  now!

  • Jo Co

I get a lot of jumping cursor on text.

Really annoying and the keyboard is much less reactiv.

    • http://www.facebook.com/treb.spurt Treb Spurt

I’ve been finding the same behavior with the latest update

  • WebUser388

While flowing using the Spanish keyboard the word “tu” rarely gets recognized and the word “ti” is inserted instead. “tu” is a word that is used very often in the Spanish language, “ti” not as much.

  • http://profiles.google.com/edgarfabre Edgar Fabre

Why SwiftKey dont have an option to learn with WhatsApp?

  • Mario Camou

One killer bug for me: predictions and flow don’t work with Samsung S Note (at least on my Galaxy Note 2). Could there be a way to force the predictions to come upon apps where they don’t?

  • mitesh patel

It will be nice to have left or right hand keyboard ability. For easier typing

  • http://twitter.com/asad_ahmad45 Asad Ahmad

Does not work with Citrix receiver. Please look in to that, thanks.

  • Livio

I’ve just installed Swiftkey Flow, I’ve already got the ‘paid for’ Swiftkey version but I confused?
In the ‘About’ section of Flow it says I’ve only until 22nd February 2013 of it’s use.

What will happen once it expires? and will I need to pay for S Flow again?

  • theo

Is it possible to adapt the language packs? I use the Dutch language, but there are several suggestions by flow that are non-existant. Or other much used words like “is” are just not formed by flow. .. Very annoying.

  • jordan mattison

It’s not that bad because I’ve never really used it that much but I’m getting used to using it now more and more. The only problem is that when I have to write something long it puts down half of it and then it takes a few Seconds to catch up with me. I also wish they would put a few more themes for the flow.

  • Livio

I have to say,.. I really like Swiftkey Flow….and Ok, so it’s got some bugs, and few quirky things but it’s just being developed, so give the dev team a chance to iron them out.

Here’s a issue I’ve found, like if your swiping a word like… god ..the prediction system will pick… good , I can’t seem to find a way to just choose ‘god’ over ‘good’ through a swiping flowing technique, is there one?

**This should be a priority bug**
Another more major issue has surfaced though, when going to text messaging on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the keyboard seems to sometimes freeze, and/or crash and won’t appear again, especially for a particular message that it has crashed within.

Secondly, will I get ‘S Flow’ free, seeing as I’ve got the paid version of Swiftkey when it comes out of beta, and onto the ‘play’ store?

Swiftkey blog moderator, any helpful info would be great please, regards

  • Dark_Laser

It’s still doing that auto-space thing. I won’t use this until there’s an option to turn that off.

  • http://www.omghackers.com/ Arya Putra

No option to disable auto-spacing? That’s a NO NO for me. Until that feature being added into Swiftkey, I will stick to Kii Keyboard, and Swype.

  • Malik Ashar Azeem

It is a very nice addition in the mobile phones.
    http://telekuponucuzbizde.blogspot.com/

  • Randy Sharp

S note: no flow = no go

  • Gina

Can you put the dollar sign back on the keyboard when you change it to numbers? Also, can you move the numbers back to the left hand side where they used to be? It seems counter intuitive on the right hand side
